PLEASE NOTE: The spacing between grip screws measures 3 1/16". Our Thin 1911 grips require replacing the original frame bushings and screws with slim or low-profile bushings and screws. 3/16" Thin Grips Bushing and Screws NOT Included
Installation Instructions:
Before starting to work, make sure the firearm is unloaded. Remove existing grips.
Place new grip into position on the firearm. Hogue recommends the use of medium strength thread locking compound with all semi-automatic pistols, particularly on frames with aluminum threads. Add a drop to the threaded end of the screw.
Insert grip screw into screw hole and tighten, being carful not to smear compound onto the grip face. Use caution while torquing screws, particularly on frames with aluminum threads.
Care and Cleaning: Use a toothbrush to clean the grip's texture then gently wipe with window cleaner to clean.
