Calling Tips:
Growls or Roars: Blow "Wheeaaa" into the call 1 to 2 times for 2 to 3 seconds. This emotional buck call should be used at the peak of the rut when bucks are worked up and aggressive.
Snort-Wheeze: Blow into the snort-wheeze chamber with a "too, too, toooosshhh" sound for 3 to 4 seconds - emphasizing the "shhh" at the end. Use this call when you're ready for a fight; bucks snort-wheeze as warning to claim their territory.
Social Grunts: Exhale into the call 2 or 3 times with moderate volume for a short duration of 1 to 2 seconds; press the (D) button and repeat the process for a doe runt. Bucks and does make this call year-round. Use it anytime - especially if you're on a buck's tail and trying to draw him closer.
Tending Grunts: Make short (1/2 to 1 second) grunt 5 to 10 times in a row. Bucks produce this sound when chasing estrus does.
Clicking Grunts: Blow one-syllable clicks into the call rapidly for 6 to 12 continuous clicks. Bucks click grunts when they're closing on on a hot doe or about to breed.
Doe Estrus Bleats: Squeeze the (D) button and softly blow a "meeaaa" sound into the call 2 or 3 times for up to 5 seconds. This Doe call works best for the pre-rut when mixed with a buck tending grunt.
Fawn Bleats: Squeeze the (F) button and make a social grunt to call in mature does during early bow season. To simulate a doe fawn coming into estrus during the post-rut, press (F) button and make a doe estrus bleat.
Fawn Blawl: Hold down the (F) button and make a buck growl. This distress call works extremely well in the early season to attract mature does.
