How much will shipping within Canada cost me?
We try to keep it as simple and transparent as possible, but the answer is still "it depends"!
The good news is that you will never pay more than $11.95 for shipping anywhere in Canada and it could even be $0 as we offer free delivery anywhere in Canada when you place a pre-tax order of over $200!
If you're not spending that much we have delivery at a fixed $7.95 for pre-tax order totals of $100-$200 or $11.95 for pre-tax orders of less than $100. We have highlighted the word 'anywhere' as we don't like small print and exclusions and we're sure you don't either!
For Alberta residents, you will also see the option to collect your order from our warehouse in Cochrane (just West of Calgary) during checkout.
How much will shipping to the US cost me?
First of all, all prices listed for products or shipping on our website are in Canadian Dollars (C$) - yes, even for Americans - this presents you with the opportunity to practice your math!
You will never pay more than C$17.95 (roughly US$13.70 at October 2020 exchange rates) for shipping anywhere in mainland US - that's for an order total of less than C$100. If you spend more than C$100 your shipping charge reduces to C$13.95 (roughly US$10.60). Sadly, shipping is much more expensive in Canada than in the US (even if the shipping is just starting in Canada with most of the mileage being south of the border).
You have some great stuff at great prices - how long is it going to take for me to receive my order after I place it?
Thanks for noticing - we do have great stuff at great prices! We usually dispatch within 2 working days of receiving your order using Canpar or Canada Post Expedited service within Canada - actual delivery depends on your address - but we will email you with tracking details once your order has left us. For international orders we will dispatch using the fastest method appropriate for the size and weight of parcel, which for the US is generally UPS or Canada Post Tracked Parcel and for the rest of the world is usually either Canada Post or UPS, but we do use FedEx, Canpar and Purolator too.
Can I place an order online and then collect from your Cochrane location?
Yes! When you get to online checkout, the 'shipping' option 'Collect from Warehouse in Cochrane - No Charge' displays if you're in Alberta. If you select that option, we'll email you when your order is ready and supply our physical address. Currently, pickup times are 9.30 to 3.30 weekdays.
Can I come and visit your store to see what you have?
Sort of... if you're collecting an order you're welcome to have a look at / purchase additional items as long as we can do it safely in these Covid times. The shipping option 'Collect from Warehouse in Cochrane - No Charge' displays if you're in Alberta. If you're outside of Alberta but are visiting our province, please contact us and we'll refund your shipping charges and give you the information you need to collect.
Ok, I just placed my order, what happens now?
There will be a confirmation email in your inbox summarising your order. Within 2 working days there will be another confirming your shipment and giving you your tracking number. When your items arrive, please check them over and start using them! If there are any issues, please contact us at [email protected]
I'm interested in placing an order but I'm in Britain, what is it really going to cost me to buy some of your great stuff?
For delivery purposes, you are classed as 'rest of the world', so spend C$100 or more and shipping will be C$39.95. If you spend less than C$100, shipping will be C$49.95. That's it, no tax as that is down to you to manage - in our experience there has been no duty or VAT levied on delivery (but obviously, if you are charged that will need to be paid by you). Please bear in mind that some larger and/or heavier items may need to go the land/sea/land route and so that will take 6 weeks (yes, really) - or we may need to ask for a top-up on the shipping to get it to you via tracked airmail. Current exchange rate is C$1.71 to 1 British Pound (October 2020) - so, for example, spend C$150 and with shipping of C$40, you should pay the equivalent of around just 111 British pounds to have C$150-worth of Colonel Mustard items delivered to your door...
Do you deliver to PO Boxes?
Absolutely... we probably ship 15% of our orders to PO Boxes across Canada. We also have no issue with shipping to Canada Post 'FlexDelivery' PO Boxes.
I've placed an order but I'd really like to add some more items now that I've had time to look around the site - can I do that?
You can always add to existing orders by placing a second order (or third, or more) by entering Addon into the discount code box during checkout - this cancels any further shipping charges and then we combine the orders for shipping. Any other adjustments like discounts or reduced shipping (because the pre-tax combined order total goes over $100 or $200) we apply manually.
I've placed an order but I've realised that I've ordered the wrong size or colour for an item - can I amend it?
Sure - please email us with the changes (email is the fastest and clearest way to effect any order changes). Please bear in mind that we try to ship as quickly as possible, so let us know straight away.
I'm concerned about theft of my package from my doorstep, do you ask for a signature?
We are concerned about this too, but we're also concerned about making buying from us as simple and painless as possible! We believe we need to strike a balance between the convenience of having your package left for you if it arrives when no-one is home and the security of asking for a signature, but running the risk of having to collect from a depot that may not be so close...
So, these are our signature rules:
If the pre-tax total of your order is over $100, we'll ask for a signature (unless you have a PO Box, including FlexDelivery PO Box, address)
If you live in an apartment or have an address that looks like you do (i.e. 47-4566 Main St), we'll ask for a signature
If your order contains ballistic panels or plates, we'll ask for a signature (even for PO Box addresses)
If your order contains bear spray or dog spray, we'll ask for a signature (even for PO Box addresses)
However, we will always try to accommodate customer requests where possible - please use the 'COMMENTS' section at the bottom of the checkout page: this is the space to let us know that you would like us to ask for a signature even though your order may be valued less than $100; to say that you would rather not have to sign as, even though your order is over $100, you live in a 'safe' place; to let us know your buzzer code, if applicable; and even to ask for something like extra business cards so that you can leave them at your local range!
