The Trilogy 3-pack mouth call's from Flextone includes the triple reed Freak Mama that sports a clipped double batwing cut with two different thicknesses of latex for super raspy tones with lots of backbone for loud calling. The Ho' Down is double reed 2.5 cutter with a double spur cut at the bottom, which delivers loud to moderate rasp, but can be toned down for seductive calling. The most versatile is the Dirt Flap. It's a double reed with a clipped bat wing cut, but uses a latex reed coupled with a super-thin prophylactic reed which delivers amazing two tone notes with perfect rasp and tones. Instructions:
1. Place the call carefully against the roof of your mouth keeping the longer reed on top and facing out.
2. Always exhale air, never inhale air through mouth. Hold in place by applying pressure with the back or middle of tongue. Do Not Place Too Far Back As Choking May Result!
3. While holding call in place with tongue, exhale gradually while allowing air to flow between your tongue and calls flexible reed. Varying amounts of air flow and tongue pressurewill chnage the volume and tone of each call.
Tips:
To achieve a higher note apply more tongue pressure to the call. It may help to associate the words to the desired call. For example, use the words "chick" or "chuck" for a yelp. the word "pic" works for a cluck, and the word "pack" blown with more tongue pressure, produces a good cutting sound. To create the sound of a purr, try fluttering your tongue across the latex reeds.
