The Warrior's all-Kydex body provides a rigid material that is custom fit to each firearm and maintains its shape even with the pistol un-holstered. The smooth, low friction surface allows for a fast draw and easy one-handed re-holstering of the firearm. The all-Kydex body will not bend or stretch over time and is impervious to sweat and solvents. The raised lettering on the rear of the holster specifies the make and model your holster accommodates, so you will never forget what gun it goes with.
Belt Mount: The Belt mount is the most popular holster among competition shooters, a secure hold that is designed with a curve to fit comfortably on the hip. The included Belt Mounts accommodate a 1.5" wide belt.
Cant: The holster is designed with 8 belt loop attachment screw holes which allow it to be configured for a straight/speed draw, an FBI cant, or a cross draw rearward cant.
Colours: The Warrior holster body is available in multiple colours (special order only - please email requirements to [email protected] - see an example of a custom Flat Dark Earth front with a black back in the pictures - no extra charge for standard colours or two-tone as this example) but the mounting hardware is always black. *Please note that as this model is designed primarily for shorter handguns that for some fitments the holster will add as a 'slide holster*' - with the muzzle of the firearm exposed.
*What is a slide holster? The Slide version is term used by Comp-Tac to describe an open-ended holster; this model is made to fully cover the shortest in a series of slide lengths and allow longer slides to fit in the same holster.
*Example: Glock 9/40/357 Slide is made to fully cover a 26/27/28/33. Any of the other 9/40/357 caliber Glocks will fit into the same holster; however, the longer barrels will extend past the bottom of the holster body.
*The "Slide" is primarily intended to be used for competition, range use, and for IWB holsters. See below for more detailed explanations.
*Outside the Waistband (OWB) Holsters (including the new Warrior): We recommend the Slide version only for range or competition use!
This is due to the day-to-day activities and increased chances of bumping the bottom of the muzzle against a chair arm, bucket seat, console, etc. We don't think much about these day to day activities, like sitting in a chair, until the muzzle presses against the chair arm as you sit down. This can force the pistol out of retention. Without the gun being held in place by the retention, the pistol is then loose in the holster. This can lead to a very awkward and embarrassing situation in the least.
If you conceal carry an OWB Slide version holster, be aware of the exposed barrel and any objects that may accidentally push up on the muzzle.
